What are my paintings?
In 2024 still mostly acrylics. In variable colours, mostly complementing each other, sometimes just bizarre compinations.
As I seem to be incapable not leaning into my paintings, rest assured that my paintings will include my skin and often hairs or eyelashes.. Also my dogs (Chika, EnglishToyTerrier) hairs.
-On that note, I want to make it clear that even when the time passes and cloning becomes more “everyday” normal thing to do, I do not want to be cloned. And I speak for my dog as well, neither does she. Trust us, our brains are not that great to begin with.- So even if you are lucky enough to find a piece of us in the artwork you have puchased from me, treat is as an extra souvenier, part of the artwork, and leave it be.
Sometimes people ask me what am I trying to say with my art and I regret to inform that I’m still trying to figure it out myself. I enjoy creating and challenging myself and I work on an artwork like solving a puzzle. Often I don’t even have an idea of what the painting is going to be like, mostly I dont have any reference pictures and never for the whole painting.
So what are my paintings? They are figuratively and literally pieces of me. And the story you can tell me if you figure it out.
